 The JBL Studio 690 is the flagship floor-standing speaker in the Studio line. It delivers excellent high frequency response, in keeping with JBL's tried-and-true approach to tweeter design. They famously pioneered the use of horn-loaded compression drivers in speaker arrays at large concert venues — they're able to fill large spaces with clear sound in a way a standard dome tweeter can't. The Studio 6 Series continues this tradition by mating JBL's 1" compression driver to a High-Definition Imaging (HDI) horn. This proprietary design helps the Studio 690 deliver crystal-clear highs throughout your room, no matter where you sit.

 Accurate mids and solid low end

 We know what makes the tweeter special, so what about the rest of the frequency range? Each Studio 690 speaker features dual 8" PolyPlas® woofers for accurate mids and satisfyingly deep bass. Doubling up on these large, well-made drivers helps the speaker deliver a rich, full soundstage when listening to music or watching a movie. And the cabinet is equipped with two rear ports for enhanced bass response.
